Biomass Methodology
Wet weight biomass of biological entity specified elsewhere per unit volume of the water body [BODC]

Abundance: Conical plankton net
Samples were taken using a Conical plankton net with a Net mouth opening of 0.8 m and a mesh size of 500 μm.
Hauls were taken either from the bottom depth or from the depth which corresponds to a sigma-theta density value of 16,2. Animals were sorted, counted and measured on board. Individual weights were calculated from the wet weight-length equations.
